Tatenda has worked in the reinsurance industry for over 14 years, holding positions such as Head Facultative Underwriting, Treaties and Claims Manager, Chief Operations Officer, and, most recently, Chief Executive Officer. He has worked in various African and international markets in both reinsurance underwriting and broking capacities. Tatenda has enjoyed serving clients as an underwriter and broker across various classes of business in Treaty and Facultative lines over the course of his 14-year career. Tatenda is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner of the United Kingdom's Chartered Insurance Institute. He has a Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot Watt University in the United Kingdom, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree in Risk Management and Insurance.
Fortunate possesses over 10 years of international actuarial experience spanning across product development, valuation and reporting, enterprise risk management, Asset-Liability Management, audit and advisory services. She has worked at Old Mutual Zimbabwe, Econet Energy and KPMG in Bermuda. Fortunate has consulted and provided Actuarial advisory services on some of the leading global insurers and reinsurers in Europe, North America, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Asia, Africa and Australia. Fortunate holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree in Actuarial Science from the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe and is an Associate Actuary (AIA) with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries of the United Kingdom.
Engineer Maidza has more than ten years of experience in Engineering and Risk Management. He began his professional engineering career in 2012 with Amalgamated Regional Trading Corporation before moving to ZB Reinsurance in 2013 as the Risk Engineer. In 2014, he left ZB to join the Debswana Mining Company, stationed at Jwaneng Mine in Botswana. In 2015, he returned to Zimbabwe to work as a Risk and Quality Engineer with Zimbabwe Power Company's Risk Management Department. In 2020, he was appointed Risk and Quality Management Manager for the Batoka Gorge Hydroelectric Scheme, a 2400MW project under the Zambezi River Authority, a post he now holds. He also consults on a variety of initiatives. Engineer Maidza has a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Degree in Industrial Engineering from NUST in Zimbabwe, an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot Watt University in the United Kingdom, and multiple certifications in Maintenance, Risk Management, and Project Management. He is a Professional Member of the Australian Institute of Engineers as well as a Fellow. Member of the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers and the Zimbabwe Engineering Council.
